A critically ill woman has been selling her smiles in the street in China to raise money for a kidney transplant.
Zhu Ya, 26, says on a signboard that she will smile at the pedestrians for one minute as long as they give her one yuan (11p). The former art teacher also sells stickers showing smiley faces while begging near a metro station in Chongqing.

Please, someone help this brave, talented woman! Maybe crowd-funding? Thank God for the NHS!

It annoys me beyond belief that my 9 year old thinks we're poor because we're not wealthy. But we have free healthcare and education. I hope this woman gets the help she needs.

This is where I would rather foreign aid went....knowing at least it was helping the right person and not spent by corrupt governments.
